If you\u2019re considering using this app to transfer money from the US to India, please read carefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"my-experience\">My Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I transferred money using Abound by Indiatimes because their conversion charges were attractive and the marketing sounded promising.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It\u2019s now <strong>over 30 days<\/strong> since my transfer. The money is neither delivered nor refunded.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I have tried <strong>emailing, calling, and messaging Abound\u2019s support<\/strong>\u2014not a single meaningful response. Most messages go unanswered, and when they do reply, it\u2019s with vague assurances that lead nowhere.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I also reached out via their social channels (LinkedIn, X, Instagram), <strong>but was ignored everywhere<\/strong>. It feels like the company is actively avoiding its users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>With each passing week, I\u2019m increasingly convinced that I have <strong>fallen victim to a scam<\/strong>. They lure people in with good rates, but there is no customer support, no accountability, and (in my case) no money delivered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"other-user-experiences\">Other User Experiences<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While searching for help, I found many people with similar\u2014or even worse\u2014stories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Complaint<\/th><th>Real User Feedback Excerpts<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Money Stuck for Weeks\/Months<\/strong><\/td><td>\u201cIt\u2019s been over a month. No response. No refund. Totally unprofessional.\u201d<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>No Customer Support<\/strong><\/td><td>\u201cTheir customer service is non-existent. They don\u2019t pick up or reply to queries.\u201d<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Scam &amp; Fraud Warnings<\/strong><\/td><td>\u201cAbound is a scam. Takes your money and disappears. Please beware!\u201d<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>False Promises on Speed<\/strong><\/td><td>\u201cThey promised two days, it\u2019s now three weeks and nothing.\u201d<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Funds Sent via Random Third-Parties<\/strong><\/td><td>\u201cMoney wasn\u2019t sent from Abound, but from a random Indian individual. Tax issue!\u201d<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some users did report that their <strong>first transfer worked smoothly<\/strong>, often in small amounts\u2014but subsequent (larger) transactions got stuck, leaving them stranded and stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"patterns--risks\">Patterns &amp; Risks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Legal Disputes:<\/strong> The company has acknowledged problems with their banking partners since May 2024, causing transfers to be delayed or blocked for many.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Unresponsive Support:<\/strong> Users rarely get useful replies, and social media channels are now filled with unanswered complaints.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Funds in Limbo:<\/strong> There are dozens of stories about money being withdrawn from US accounts, but recipients in India not getting credited for weeks or months.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"my-recommendation\">My Recommendation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After my experience\u2014and many others that are similar\u2014I <strong>strongly discourage using Abound by Indiatimes<\/strong> for money transfers.
